Artist Statement
My name is Sariah Chamberlain, and I am a recent art graduate from Dixie State University. I chose art as a career because I love how I can express my thoughts, emotions, and what I see in the world through different mediums. The mediums I prefer to use are charcoal, graphite, acrylic paint, oil paint, soft pastel, and digital art. However, I am curious to learn more mediums and adapt them to find my own style as I grow.
Many people have influenced me, from family, friends, to professors and art advisors I have had throughout my schooling. Art also runs through my family, and I would like to carry out that tradition. Although I am forever growing as an artist, a goal I have is to portray and express emotion in my pieces that I create. While still being a student, I am finding ways to contribute to the art world and how to thrive as an artist.

about Me
My name is Sariah Chamberlain- I was born and raised in St. George, Utah where I have grown up seeing the red rocks and desert landscapes. Throughout my life and school, I would draw and doodle in my notebooks but never imagined myself to be an artist. It was not until my senior trip to England in 2018 that made me realize art was my passion and the career I wanted to pursue. Seeing all the different art forms in old manors, castles, and museums inspired me to learn more about creating my own art.
While pursuing my art education at Dixie State University, I met my husband and we were married in April 2020. He is one of my biggest supporters, outside of my mom and other close family and friends. Those who have inspired and encouraged me to better my art have allowed me a chance to graduate with my Bachelors in painting and drawing at the end of 2021. After graduation, I plan on continuing my art, growing my family, and growing as an artist.
